Royal Navy – HMS Protector visits St Helena

The Royal Navy’s ice patrol ship, HMS Protector which departed Portsmouth UK on the 17 th September for its eight-month deployment in the South Atlantic has arrived in St Helena as scheduled.

The 5,000  tonne ice-breaker will stay in St Helena for a few days.

Arcadia passengers are still disappointed - We miss St Helena.

Passengers who were on  scheduled to visit St Helena on the 16th April 2012 on the P&O cruise ship Arcadia are still unhappy that they did not get a shore on St Helena has expressed their frustration on the P&O cruise website forum

MSC Melody sucessful visit to St Helena

The MSC Melody reported the visit to St Helena was a success yesterday.

The weather was favorable and the passengers enjoyed the short stay on the Island Island.

The MSC Melody departed around 1900 for Dakar in west Africa.
