No entry to Plantation house as tourist gets allocated extra seats to St Helena.

Governor and Mrs Capes has close the doors to Plantation house on tours for all visits of the RMS St Helena for the rest of the year, this closure has come into effect during the same week it was announced that ten extra seats on the south atlantic airbridge have been allocated to tourist who would like to visit St Helena.

It is thought that the excuse for this closure is because Governor capes and his wife have visitors for that period.

Tourist visits to Plantation house is already restricted as Plantation is only opened for 45 minutes a week.

Plantation house is one of the most popular attractions for any visiting tourist to St Helena

Plantation is also the home of Jonathan the Tortoise the Islands oldest living inhabitant.

St Helena has been working extremely hard over the past few years to attract a tourism industry and has been allocated a budget to improve the industry as part of the airport access project.

The Islands local tourist industries are outraged by the decision.
