Hello St Helena Island! I was fortunate enough to visit in 1976. Long time ago but happy memories. Such a peaceful friendly place. I hope that hasn't changed. I was a friend of Gertie Francis, Glenda & Patrick in Jamestown. Anyone know them? How are they? Say hello for me. I lost contact many years ago. Linda Hi Linda great to see some people who have visited the island remembers the great memories Glenda and Gertie has passed on Patrick is still on the Island and the last i rememeber he was working in the RMS St Helena Ship that is still in service may be you will return now that Island is having its first airport built. I currently work as a police officer in the UK and I was gutted to have found that I was too late for the Saint Helena recruitment. Maybe the new airport will bring further opportunities in the near future? who knows? fingers crossed :)

Thanks for your response. So sad to hear that Glenda and Gertie are gone. I'm surprised about Glenda she was certainly not much older than me I think. I will have to check other names of people I met and then post in the appropriate section. Thanks Linda
