Is St Helena Goverment coming onboard to help in laying the SAEX cable

Last week it was reported that St Helena was included in a signed cable deal that could change the Islands communication future, This week a press release from the St Helena Government today stated ''We are delighted to see solid progress being made to note that a potential link to St Helena is part of a plan that could offer the Island great benefits'' does this mean that The St Helena Government is coming on board to support the project, up until now there has never been a press release relating to this project.

A website was also set up by Christian van der Ropp a German communications specialist to help support St Helena to get faster broadband and better communication, the website can be found by clicking here
