St Helena was discovered in 1502 and Ascension Island was discovered on 1501 by a portuguese sailor Joao da nova.

The capital of St Helena is Jamestown and the capital of Ascension Island is Georgetown.

Ascension Island and tristan da cunha are  both sister Islands of St Helena.  

All eyes are on St Helena as the Island is in the process of having its very first Airport built, these are very exciting times for both Islands and its people.
